Gaza: Abdullah’s story

Abdullah

Abdullah was injured when a shell exploded next to him. He needed multiple operations and eventually had his leg amputated. Over the last six months the UK government has supported teams of highly skilled British orthopaedic and plastic surgeons from the NHS to travel to Gaza. The organisations behind this programme, MAP and IDEALS, were funded as part of a package of more than £17 million in emergency humanitarian assistance, to help deliver lifesaving food, clean water, shelter and medical assistance.
